I heard a great story at the firehall last night- One of our captains came in to work with a canoe on the roof of his car. When asked about it, he said that it made his car more aerodynamic, and he gets better fuel economy. As a prank, some of the boys from the firehall siphoned some of their own fuel and fill up his tank. Captain says "the canoe is working! I'm getting better gas mileage!" and keeps the canoe on top his car. For months the captain drives around with the hideous canoe hulking on the roof of his car bragging about the tremendous gas mileage he's getting, all the while the boys are topping up his fuel. When the crew finally confesses the prank he says "I knew all along. Thanks for the free gas." :)
