I heard a great story at the firehall last night- One of our captains came in to work with a canoe on the roof of his car. When asked about it, he said that it made his car more aerodynamic, and he gets better fuel economy. As a prank, some of the boys from the firehall siphoned some of their own fuel and fill up his tank. Captain says "the canoe is working! I'm getting better gas mileage!" and keeps the canoe on top his car.

On June 24th Sydney James and I are showcasing together at the Vancouver Island Music Business Conference. What a great opportunity to have our songs heard by fans, peers, and music industry veterans.

 A few weeks ago, producer Jason Barry recorded the bed tracks for three more songs to be included on the album. Now it's just a matter of deciding which last few songs to record, and fly back to Ontario to sing on them!
 

During the chaos of the 2010 Winter Olympics here in Vancouver, I had the opportunity to play a concert at the Plaza of Nations.  Country singer Sydney James and myself teamed up to play back-to-back shows and even sang with each other a little. Thanks to Ian, Chris, and Scott for your hard work on the VIDEO, which you can see here on this site under the videos tab, or at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OAMf7FAA1L. The Jessie Farrell Band (Jesse Tucker, Ryland Haggis, Jesse Godin) and Rick Baker were in fine form playing our songs.

Halloween was awesome this year. It's one of my favourite holidays and I took the time to really get in the mood.
I've been writing songs A LOT lately, and try to finish at least one new song a week.
These days I'm writing with about five different co-writers!
I started something new- writing songs for other artists.
My debut album is still on the way, and the first video is being edited.
The nights are getting darker and colder, I'm hoping for another snowy season.

Isn't summer great?
We finished filming the video for "Highlight Of My Day" and it's now being edited. The initial shots look awesome!
I'm doing as much songwriting as possible these days, working with five other writers.
I spent last week at the Vancouver Island Music Business Conference and had an amazing time. We five country singers all camped together in an RV and had a blast.
Today I'm heading up to MountainFest in Merritt, which is always a highlight of summer.
